RIM's BlackBerry 7520 device incorporates GPS technology from SiRF

7520SiRF Technology Holdings has announced that RIM's BlackBerry 7520 device will incorporate SiRFLoc MultiMode A-GPS location technology. Users of the BlackBerry 7520 will now be able to use GPS technologies, wireless email, phone, Direct Connect Services, text messaging, and browser all in one device.

"SiRF's high performance, multimode location technology fits well within the BlackBerry solution architecture," said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Corporate Marketing at Research In Motion. "We believe that location-based services will add a complementary and powerful dimension to the BlackBerry experience and open many new opportunities for developers and customers."
